What to do with the juice pulp left over by your juicer?
Juice pulp is what that is left after you have extracted the juice. However, it may still contain some leftover nutrients that did not get squeezed into your juice and there certainly is a lot of fiber in the pulp as well. It seems like a waste to just throw it away, so on this post we would like to give you a few ideas of different ways that you can make use of that pulp instead of letting it go to waste.
Use Your Juice Pulp in Recipes
If you don’t want to let all of that fiber go to waste and you need more fiber in your diet you’ll be happy to know that there are a number of recipes that you could make that use the fiber from your juice pulp. If you spend a little bit of time searching you can find recipes for all kinds of things from crackers, bread, cakes and muffins to soups, quiches, veggie burgers, the list goes on and on.

What to Do with Your Pulp If You Don’t Want to Eat It
Maybe you are not a very good cook or maybe you don’t have time to do things like make your own bread and crackers from scratch. There are however some other things you could do with your excess pulp that don’t include eating it.
One of the easiest things to do is to use any excess pulp for mulch or compost in your garden. You can simply add the pulp to your compost pile and let it decompose naturally. This compost can then be used in your garden to grow more fruits and vegetables. If you don’t want to use it for compost you can simply spread it around your garden to use as mulch. Adding mulch to your garden will help prevent weeds and can also reduce the amount of time you spend watering your plants because it helps the soil retain water.
We have even read stories online about people using their excess pulp as chicken feed. Of course this tip will not apply to you if you don’t raise your own chickens but it is another idea and with a little bit of creativity you can find a way to use pulp that would otherwise end up in the trash can.
